ECAS Process
How an ECAS-Backed Deal Works
From initial enquiry to capital goods delivery: a structured 4-step process managed entirely by ECAS.
1
Buyer Sends Enquiry
You tell us what capital goods you need, indicative contract value, and your country. ECAS assesses your eligibility at no cost.
2
Exporter Matched & Contract Signed
ECAS introduces 2–3 compatible exporters from eligible countries. You negotiate and sign a supply contract with deferred payment terms (2–7 years).
3
ECA Cover Policy Issued
ECAS submits and manages the ECA application. Export credit cover (up to 90% of contract value) is issued within 4–8 weeks.
4
Goods Delivered, Payments Begin
Exporter ships under ECA cover. Buyer makes scheduled deferred payments. ECAS charges its 3% fee upon ECA policy issuance.
